Introducing our new CEO

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Fraser as the new leader of the Peak Services Group. Brett commences on 25 November and will oversee the operations of Peak Services, Peak Services Legal, and Local Buy, all dedicated to providing unique, tailored, and effective solutions to meet the diverse needs of Queensland councils.
 
Brett joins us as an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a career spanning more than 25 years in the public and private sectors.
 
Brett’s former roles leading the Queensland Tourism Industry Council and Brisbane City Council’s marketing and economic development agency, BEDA, give him strong regional and metropolitan knowledge and networks with councils across the state.
 
In past leadership positions with Australia TradeCoast, Austrade and Vale, Brett has promoted foreign investment and trade to Queensland, and facilitated discussions with local, state and federal government for the delivery of major infrastructure projects and investment across Australia.
 
Brett is excited to join the team and identify further ways to support Queensland councils in their work to build liveable communities.

Peak Services, Peak Services Legal and Local Buy are subsidiaries of the LGAQ. Any profits generated by these businesses go directly back to the shareholder and are used to support Queensland councils.  
 
Peak Services was established more than eight years ago, by the Local Government Association of Queensland as a commercial ‘profit for purpose’ business.
