Butch, spent more than 20 years pursuing his unique vision for the region which included developing tourism, improving telecommunications and other innovative projects to enable the community to build a thriving local economy.
This Peak Services' annual award recognises innovation by Bush Councils and pays tribute to Butch’s legacy.
Congratulations to 2024 winners Cloncurry Shire Counci
l for their progressive initiative 'Meeting of the Mines' event that council developed as part of its strategy to diversify its economy and position itself as a leading regional hub for the mining sector.
