Low Costs + Flexibility = eLearning

Back

With advancements in technology and the increasing demand for flexible learning options, eLearning has become a popular choice for organisations worldwide. Certainly, the pandemic prompted many of us to fast-track ourselves into using this learning method.

We at Peak Services Training recognise that eLearning is not a ‘five-star’ training experience, but it is a valuable addition to any training strategy in its convenience and cost-effectiveness, as well as the flexibility to complete training anywhere and at any time. We believe eLearning is here to stay!

As your Local-Government specific training provider, Peak Services provides Queensland Councils with a large range of eLearning courses, from our Local-Government specific courses (Authorised Persons, Local Government Worker, Understanding Local Government, Code of Conduct and Fraud Awareness to over 120 titles available to you through our partner organisation.

Our Authorised Persons eLearning Bundles, which include Local Government Worker, have quickly become the most readily used eLearning course by Qld councils, providing a fast and easy solution when engaging new officers or regularly updating council officers’ Authorised Persons status.  Our remaining four local government eLearning courses are readily used as part of Council Induction programs or as regular upskilling of staff.

Peak makes a further 120 Australian course titles available to councils through our partner organisation Kineo.  User-licenses can be purchased individually or as a “whole of library” with or without the Kineo Learning Management System. Where a Learning Management System is present, eLearning can be tracked, monitored and reported on, amongst many other things, providing you with a one-stop training and recording system.  The Kineo LMS is a robust and cost-effective LMS hosting Australian courses and housed on an Australian server.

If your council is considering a Learning Management System, this system can help councils solve and organise many of your daily training-related tasks and activities, all the while providing a ‘one stop shop’ for all your training needs.

Some of the short and sharp eLearning courses available you to are:

  • Alcohol and other Drugs
  • Armed Robbery Safety
  • Bullying and Harassment
  • Dealing with Workplace Conflict,
  • Fire Awareness and Extinguisher Safety
  • Injury management
