Increase your Local Government Procurement Skills
Efficient procurement and contract management practices are at the heart of a productive council and when administrators work together to buy goods and services, councils can achieve better value for their communities.
The recent Auditor General’s Financial Audit Report - Local Government highlighted the need for strong procurement and contract management practices across the sector. To support the ongoing need for improved procurement knowledge and skills within councils, we continue to deliver a selection of Procurement development programs, delivered virtually through our public course calendar or in-house at your council!
The following workshops include some of the sector’s favourite titles:
Procurement Fundamentals |
Specification Writing |
Tendering for Local Government |
Contract Management |
Stores and Inventory |
Procurement Advanced |
"Each year, the local government sector spends approximately $8 billion in procuring goods and services from various suppliers and service providers. To achieve value for money from their purchasing activities, councils need to ensure that they have strong procurement and contract management practices."
