Asset Management Improvement Program - McKinlay Shire Council
Peak led a high-level Investigation into current asset management practices for McKinlay Shire Council. The scope of services included an audit of council’s existing Asset Management Policy and Systems. Peak reviewed the existing Asset and Financial Data Registers, level of service and performance, demand forecasting and condition of current assets.
This involved investigation of council’s risk management practices, decision making, along with operational, maintenance and capital works planning. In addition, the improvement program provided financial ad funding strategies, resourcing and allocation of teams, information systems and service delivery mechanisms.
This program resulted in the introduction of quality management and asset improvement planning. Peak facilitated an Asset Management workshop and presented an improvement plan and strategy to council executive and elected members, resulting in the implementation of a council wide Asset Management Improvement Reporting Program.
