About Angela
Angela’s 30+ year background extends across community development, not for profit, and local government sectors, with experience across stakeholder management, communications, strategy and policy development, grant applications, proposal preparation, research and report writing.
Angela is a motivated and commercially astute project and program manager. As a former Director Community and Environmental Sustainability at Balonne Shire Council, Angela managed a wide range of community-facing services including community engagement, land-use planning and building, environmental health, waste management, compliance, animal control, library services, tourism services, flood recovery and mitigation, and community, cultural, and economic development.
Angela understands the important role local government plays to support thriving and prosperous communities. Her career has proven her ability to work in demanding environments and apply in-depth knowledge of government processes and understanding of governance requirements.

• 15 years with Brisbane City Council working in community development, social policy, social and neighbourhood planning, grant program management and policy, and special projects (e.g. Homelessness and Affordable Housing Strategy and City Hall Restoration Project)
Planning and development, Compliance, Economic Development and Environmental Health Management
• 3.5 years as Director of Community and Environmental Sustainability at Balonne Shire Council including:
o Managing Planning and Building and introducing Town Planning amendments for flood mitigation
o Managing multiple economic development projects for the Murray-Darling Basin Regional Economic Diversification Program
