Matthew has led a number of significant infrastructure and project assessments and has a decade of experience across all areas of economic and financial analysis. His key areas of expertise include economic and social impact assessment, cost benefit and triple bottom line analysis, financial appraisal and cost recovery pricing.
Matthew’s experience in infrastructure and project appraisal extends from:
- Water storage (agricultural irrigation, urban water supply, recreational lakes, water recycling).
- Transportation (roads, rail, port, ferry terminal and airport upgrades).
- Local government infrastructure (land development, water and sewerage, recreational infrastructure, and urban renewal projects).
- Renewable energy (hydro-electric, solar, wind generation) and transmission.
- Private sector projects including:
- Property developments (residential, commercial, industrial, health care, education, short stay accommodation, and mixed-use).
- Manufacturing/value-adding (bio-fuel, meat processing, grain storage, and minerals processing).
- Agriculture (diversified cropping, on-farm infrastructure, aquaculture).
In addition to his experience in economic and financial analysis, Matthew has a strong background in stakeholder consultation, economic development planning, and management of multi-disciplinary project teams. Matthew has delivered numerous surveys, workshops/forums, business and strategic plans for public, private, and not for profit clients.
