About Mike
Mike joined Peak in 2016 with an Electrical Engineering Degree from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
Mike has a strong background in development, analysis and integration of technical products within the electrical field. Mike has worked in several technical and leadership roles within the Australian electrical and power market, for companies including Weber South Pacific and Arlec Australia.
Since joining Peak, Mike has played an integral role in providing specifications for and developing business cases for renewable energy technologies including electrical and structural suitability inspections for solar, conducting energy audits and seeking regulatory approval for geothermal exploration across Australia. Mike is a highly motivated worker with excellent leadership skills who utilises his passion for the energy sector to identify and incorporate innovate solutions on each project.

Key Experience
Provided specifications for the Power Corrections Devices after Electricity Cost impact assessments
Western Downs Regional Council - Assessed the electricity cost impact due to KVA charging on 13 large sites and provided specifications for the power corrections devices, together with respective financial returns.
Conducted a feasibility assessment for the installation of Solar Power solution
Lockyer Valley Regional Council - Conducted a feasibility assessment for the installation of solar power at 3 sites and LED lighting at the Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Conducted a feasibility study for Solar Power solution
Mackay Regional Council - Conducted a feasibility study at 21 sites and procurement and project management support for the installation of solar power at 19 sites.
Conducted condition assessments for Waste Transfer Stations
Redland City Council - Conducted condition assessments for Waste Transfer Stations across major islands.

Scenic Rim Regional Council - Conducted an electrical infrastructure assessment for 2 large caravan parks.
Conducted a solar power feasibility studies
Somerset Regional Council – Conducted a solar power feasibility studies at 17 sites, technical assistance with the procurement at 4 sites and technical assistance during the project management phase of solar power installation at 8 sites.
Project Management assistance with Geothermal Power Plant
Winton Shire Council - Provided project management assistance for installation of the Geothermal Power Plant.
Prepared feasibility assessments and procurement of Solar Solution Installations
Bulloo Shire Council - Conducted a feasibility assessment of 24 sites for an energy solution (including geothermal, solar and battery storage) for Thargomindah town centre and the installation of solar power at various high consuming sites in Bulloo Shire. Following the selection of a solution, managed the procurement of solar installations on behalf of Council. This led to a detailed analysis for the network connection requirements and preliminary Power Purchase Agreement with Ergon, for the whole town solar and battery storage.
