Michelle McFadyen has more than 25 years’ experience in CEO and/or senior executive roles in the local government sector in Queensland and New South Wales.
Michelle was most recently the Deputy General Manager Corporate and Community with Bellingen Shire Council in NSW and prior to taking up this role, Michelle was the Chief Executive Officer of the Longreach Regional Council, a council amalgamated from the three councils of Ilfracombe, Longreach and Isisford.
Before these amalgamations, Michelle was the CEO of Ilfracombe Shire Council and completed a two-and-a-half-year term as CEO of the Boulia Shire Council in far central western Queensland. Michelle also worked with the LGAQ for 8 years, forming Local Buy in 2001 and taking on the role of its CEO for more than 2 years.
