This course is suited to a variety of council officers including roles with the engineering, finance, technical officers, supervisors and managers and Elected Members keen to gain an understanding of managing council assets.
Learning Outcomes
Asset Management Fundamentals is a one-day training course designed to provide participants with a broad understanding of how their organisations can benefit from optimal local government asset management systems. Participants will learn about Asset Management models and good asset management processes.
In a recent QAO news article and Auditor’s Report, over the past five years, around $1.3 billion worth of Queensland councils’ “found assets” were uncovered and only 9.6 percent of Queensland councils met the minimum international standards of asset management.
