Understanding Local Government Finance

Who should Attend?

This course is suited to team leaders, supervisors and managers who need to improve their understanding of Local Governance finance. Commencing with an overview of the legislative requirements for accounting and finance, this course will then consider the budget process and the three major financial statements, ie Financial Position, Comprehensive Income and Cash Flows. Finally, financial performance will be considered with the introduction of financial ratio analysis techniques and consideration of council financial data.
