Up to $138 million is dedicated to infrastructure projects with a minimum value of $500,000. This could include project such as flood levees, sea walls, natural hazard monitoring, resilient community hubs and evacuation centres and more.

A further $59 million has been allocated for other eligible project types such as development of business cases and/or feasibility studies for future infrastructure, disaster risk assessments and frameworks, resilience and risk reduction strategies and more.

First Nations organisations and local councils located in ‘very remote’ and ‘remote’ locations are eligible to apply for up to 90 per cent of eligible project costs. Other ‘low rate-based’ councils up to 80 per cent of eligible project costs. All other applicants can apply for up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs.
